In Sharma’s book “Digital Color Imaging Handbook”, I read that the CIE
published an “International Lighting Vocabulary”, which lists all words
and definitions that are important for Color Science. Trying to get hold
of this list, however, seemed to be really difficult: It was either too
expensive or not available in any library at all.
Today, I was lucky; i stumbled across a website called “Electropedia:
The World’s Online Electrotechnical Vocabulary” published by the IEC
(International Electrotechnical Commission):
http://www.electropedia.org/
Under “845 – lighting”, I found a list that looked pretty much like the
list Sharma was talking about in his book:
http://www.electropedia.org/iev/iev.nsf/index?openform&part=845
I actually read that the vocabulary was a joint publication of CIE
and IEC, so I assume that can actually be the real vocabulary.
